THE FLIP
Launched in 2023 by Andrew Ferguson and Eric Gisler, The 2030 Project was created to empower fair, people-centered governance . Since then, it has grown into a community of Georgian Democrats from across the state as well as university students who are invested in their communities. Georgia is one of the most gerrymandered states in the country. By flipping Republican-controlled seats in the Georgia General Assembly before the 2030 redistricting process, we're ensuring the government pays more than just lip service to democratic representation.
Andrew Ferguson is co-founder and Executive Director of The 2030 Project. A Duluth native with South Georgia roots, Andrew calls Athens home. A UGA Graduate, with Degrees in Business and Public Administration, Andrew has run for Congress and the Georgia State Legislature. Raised in a family of railroad workers, farmers, and public educators, his commitment to empowering and transforming Georgia politics from the ground up makes him the right leader for this moment.
Eric Gisler is co-founder and Treasurer of The 2030 Project. A father, UGA graduate, small business owner, and tech entrepreneur, Eric has previously served as the Chair of the Oconee County Democratic Committee in Oconee county, GA, where he also ran for Board of Commissioners Chair in 2020 and for State House of Representatives for District 121 in 2024.
